MYRNA WALL MOBILE
The Myrna Wall Mounted light is a large scale light sculpture suspended from the wall and carefully balanced on an articulating, adjustable arm. The height of the shade can be adjusted simply by moving the round counterweight along the arm. The lamp’s large perforated reflector shade and handblown glass globe (by John Hogan) create a soft glow and gentle shadows which create a micro-environment around the lamp.
The edition shown here was developed as a collaborative commission for Giancarlo Valle Studio. Originally conceived as an alternative to an overhead dining chandelier, L&G worked closely with GVS to create an emotive, gestural statement piece that creates an intimate space around the center of the table.
Myrna Wall Mobile is now available in two sizes and is designed to work in large open spaces.
For corner installations and smaller areas, we have designed the Myrna Swing Arm, whose simpler armature comes in two different sizes, allowing for more flexibility in installation.
